Meaning of the Vishwakarma Ji Aarti

The Vishwakarma Ji Aarti is a prayer honoring Lord Vishwakarma as the creator and guardian of the entire universe and the incarnation of dharma.

In the first few lines of the Vishwakarma Puja Aarti, we see that Lord Vishwakarma imparted knowledge of the Vedas to Lord Brahma at the beginning of the world and contributed wisdom to all living beings.

In the middle of the aarti, we find several instances of the sage Angira attaining peace and perfection through meditation on Lord Vishwakarma, the sick king being healed after taking refuge in Him, and the couple of chariot-makers finding relief from their sufferings after worshipping Him.

The aarti describes various manifestations of Lord Vishwakarma with one, four, or five heads and two, four, or ten arms. It says in the last line that whoever chants the Vishwakarma Ji Aarti becomes prosperous and happy.

Steps Involved in the Vishwakarma Puja Aarti Ritual

The Vishwakarma Ji Aarti can be performed in the following sequence.

  1. The ritual begins with Vishwakarma Puja, including the cleaning of tools, machines, and the workplace.

  2. A photo or idol of Lord Vishwakarma is placed on a clean altar or platform.
