Strawberry Moon

Strawberry Moon

The Strawberry Moon is considered a time of transformation. It is the best time for growth and to unfold your potential. The Algonquin tribes gave the name to this Full Moon, as it signifies the harvest time- the period of ripening of fruits (strawberries). It was a reminder for them to gather their ripening fruits.

The Strawberry Moon this year will be on the 28th of June, falling on a Thursday. Thursday, which is also the day of Jupiter, the planet of positivity and expansion, allows us to be productive and get things done. The energy of Thursday also supports us to expand, whether it is spiritually or mentally, and so it is a good time to learn new things.

The effects of this Full Moon are believed to last for approximately two weeks.

A unique fact about this Full Moon is that it is the smallest Full Moon and also the lowest moon, and it is the low-level of the moon, which gives its reddish-amber hue.

This Strawberry moon isn’t a shade of pink, despite its name. It is actually a strange amber colour and so, it is also sometimes called the Honey Moon, because of the honey colour. Coincidentally, the name Honey Moon also gained popularity because a lot of couples choose this period to get married and go on their honeymoons.

A surge of vitality during this time will come from the energy planet, Mars, which becomes largely influential and powerful during this period.

You will finally have the preparedness to implement and work towards the goals and objectives you set for yourself in the previous Full Moon in May. You will be able to work hard towards your purpose. This is the best time for you to welcome new opportunities.

It fuels our energies and for those of you who have been holding back or have been overthinking some decisions, now is the time to take action, as the Strawberry Moon will lead to you to take more risks and feel more driven.

However, these risks should be taken with caution. During this period you may be over stimulated, which could cause you to become impulsive, and you may end up taking rash decisions.

Try to spend some time outside in nature, preferably under the moon. It could have an enlightening impact on you and could leave you feeling lighter and more relaxed, especially if you’ve had a hectic week. If you have been missing your friends, or feel like socialising, planning a get-together under this moon could have a positive impact on you and your relationships.

Spend the day reflecting back and being grateful for how far you have come. This is also a great time to plan and prepare for your next moves.
