Can Rahu and Ketu Harm Your Relationship

Can Rahu and Ketu Harm Your Relationship

Rahu (North Node) and Ketu (South Node), the two nodes in moon’s path, not being ‘True planets’, cannot shine light on a person. Instead, they are responsible for the shadows in our lives which include fears, phobias, secrecies, internal conflict. Its why they are called ‘Chaaya Grahas’ (Shadow planets), playing a very strong impact on our lives. They both represent the karmic desires of a native. While Rahu represents moksha and secrecy, Ketu represents difficult nature and selfishness.

The fifth house in your horoscope tells about your love affairs and the seventh house about your marriage. If Rahu and Ketu influence the Lord of the fifth house, your love story may not have a happy ending. Rahu’s mahadasha lasts for 18 years. During this time, it can affect the native’s relation with family and relatives, his health, his marriage and also his business prospects. Rahu heightens desire in native and stimulates sensual passions, extra-marital affairs and impulsive marriages. During this period, native could be naturally unrepressed and unreasonable.

In the fourth house, native has to be careful about progeny as the spouse may have difficult pregnancy. In the fifth house, if Rahu is malefic, it could lead to abortions and if a son is born, the wife could have health problems for the next twelve years.

In the seventh house of native, it could affect the marriage if she marries before 21 years of age. In the eighth house, Rahu gives malefic effect and adversely affects the family life.

Similarly, some effects of Ketu in different houses are:

When it is in native’s first house, the spouse may face health related issues. In the second house, it could produce misunderstanding between the two, in the fourth it can cause relationship problems with mother while in the fifth, progeny related problems.

When ketu is in sixth house, Rahu will automatically be in twelfth. This will give him good relationship with family but bad health. Ketu in seventh house will create problems with partner while in eight, it spells disaster.

If both the dashas of Rahu and Ketu are not in conjunction with your state of affairs, there are remedies that help to counteract the effect and help one have a stable relationship with the partner.
