Parmanu, is a Bollywood action-thriller, directed by Abhishek Sharma which has John Abraham in the lead role, along with Diana Penty. To be released on May 25, after several delays and court cases, the film, based on a true story, promises to be mesmerising and arousing. The plot of the movie revolves around the nuclear test conducted by the Indian Army in Pokhran Rajasthan, in 1998. Quoting John Abraham,”Parmanu is an ode to the Indian army and scientists, who although ordinary people, accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity, to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map.”
Parmanu is mainly filmed in Pokhran, to lend authenticity to the film and the events it is based on. The movie salutes, celebrates and embraces the slogan,”Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan” that India’s then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had given the nation, while standing at the nuclear site in 1998.
Boman Irani, known for his comedic and villain roles; plays a ‘tricky’ part in this film. Boman has learnt to get the ‘look’ of the character he plays. In Parmanu too, Boman explains that his character could have been ‘boring’ and unemotional, but he figured out the human side of the persona and played it that way.
John Abraham and Boman Irani, are both Sagittarius, the former born on 17 December and the later, on 2 December. The year 2018 promises to be a financially successful year for the Archers.
Last year was a year of learning for both John and Boman, on how to plan the next year well and so both had practically no movies in their kitty in 2017. Boman’s role in F.U Friendship Unlimited(2017), a Marathi movie, went almost unnoticed. Both, John and Boman, will now be seen after a gap of a year and a half, in Parmanu.
Mars transits to Capricorn on May 2, 2018, and the Wheel of Fortune should turn in both John’s and Bomani’s favour. All the effort they had put in, in the making of this film, should pay off. Thus, it is expected that their work in the film, Parmanu, will be much appreciated.
Diana Penty, made her acting debut in films in 2012. Born on 2 November, Diana is a Scorpio. 2018 is earmarked to witness a jump in the Scorpio’s profession. Mars transit to Capricorn on May 2 will bless their career and their workspace in more ways than they can think possible. It is not luck that will earn Diana accolades for her work in Parmanu, but her acting skills. The confidence the girl has, which she has acquired over time by walking the ramp, will be seen clearly in the film. Diana can now prepare herself to graciously accept more responsibilities in the form of more films coming her way.
Abhishek Sharma, has largely been directing comedy films based on contemporary issues, which are at the same time, thought provoking. He should manage to showcase Parmanu, as an eyeopener for Indians, as to how their country achieved the status of becoming a nuclear power.
