Kamal Haasan’s Political Entry - How Good Of A Politician He Will Be
Kollywood celebrity and darling of millions, Kamal Haasan, has been contemplating entering politics for quite some time now. This Indian film actor, director, screenwriter, producer, playback singer and lyricist who has to his credit, several film awards, started his film career as a child artist in 1960.
Kamal Haasan is also a prolific writer of fiction and non-fiction in Tamil. Born on 7 th November, Kamal is a true Scorpio, hardly ever showing any sign of weakness. His highly observant Scorpio nature has helped him pick on subtle but important details that others miss, moulding him into a fine actor and director. His confident and magnetic personality has always pulled the crowd towards him. His popularity is now being cashed in by the political outfits to rope in the crowd of voters. His fan clubs have already managed to raise a whopping 30 crores from donations to float his maiden political party.
Kamal Haasan has not shied away from the controversies that have marred not only his films, his personal life but also his political views. A typical defiant Scorpio, Kamal prides on being what he is and doesn’t change his stance for anyone; hardly ever hesitating to change his opinion. Being a humanist, he encourages debate about topics that are socially relevant. His recent remark in the Tamil magazine, Ananda Vikatan, that Hindus cannot claim extremism doesn't exist among them anymore, stirred a hornet’s nest. A political feud of sorts started, with different parties claiming that he was simply being used as a spokesperson by the Communists because of his popularity among the masses.

But, Kamal Haasan is an intelligent man, who is taking advantage of his admiring populace, to drive home certain environmental and political issues that are coming to his notice. Also, having seen the adulation of some of the earlier Chief Ministers like M. G. Ramachandran and Jayalalitha, who had capitalised on being film personalities, Kamal Haasan too, aims to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Scorpios are highly ambitious and work hard to achieve what they have set out to accomplish. After becoming a success not only in Tollywood but also in Bollywood, this 63-year-old actor is all set to prove his mettle in politics. Tollywood has always in some ways, been a platform for political advertisement… especially since the introduction of electricity to rural areas in the 1950’s. (The rural areas are the major vote banks for the politicians.)
Kamal’s success in this line seems to be quite certain as his closest competitor, Tamil cinema’s Superman, Rajinikanth, has finally decided on not entering the political arena.
The year 2017 for the hard working Scorpio spells good times, career-wise. A major change in their career seems to be on the cards by the time 2017 comes to a close. Kamal may give up his acting career to devote more time to politics, now that he has made up his mind to join it. His delighted fans have already reorganised themselves into entities that will carry out charity and volunteer work for the party.
A career in politics could very well suit Kamal Haasan’s Scorpio personality.
