5 Most Significant Couplets from Hanuman Chalisa

According to Hindu mythology, once Lord Indra directed his ire at Hanuman. Indra attacked Hanuman with his thunderbolt (Vajrayudha) and the impact of that was so much that Hanuman broke his chin. Vayu, the Lord of wind stopped blowing in anger and because of this, life came to a standstill. That is when Brahmaji requested Vayudev to blow again but was met with refusal. Brahmaji decided to bless Hanuman with prowess and invulnerability; he gave him a boon to protect him from Brahmashaap. Suryadev also bestowed Hanuman with knowledge and brilliance. Lord Shiva gave Hanuman a boon of not getting defeated in any battle and not subjected to death or time. Yamdev, the Lord of death blessed Hanuman with immortality.
