The Air Element

The Air Element

Air symbolizes freshness and intellect. People born under this sign are usually very wise and possess the ability to think clearly even when it becomes impossible to do so. The Air signs are believed to be the most intellectual of the zodiac and their foresight and tactfulness help them see through things and read between the lines. Some might find them to be detached and aloof but they are perhaps just trying to distance themselves from the traps of the world.  An easy going attitude is another special characteristic of the Air signs.

Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are the three Air signs. Although all of them are air signs, there are certain differences among them owing to their different qualities. While Libra is cardinal, Aquarius is fixed and Gemini is mutable.

Here’s how the three signs differ.

Libra, being a cardinal sign is believed to display strong leadership qualities. They are able to keep things balanced and have a strong sense of equality and justice.

Aquarius is a fixed sign and people born under this sign will work hard to achieve their goals in life, even if they seem a little odd to others. They will keep pursuing what they want in life without a doubt in their eyes that they might not be able to achieve them.

Gemini has the distinction of being a mutable sign. Their minds are always buzzing with new ideas. They are able to adapt themselves easily to an environment and their ability to learn things quickly helps them achieve the heights of success.

The Air signs share different levels of compatibility with the other elements.

Air and Earth

Air and Earth bond quite well together. Air brings freshness in the life of Earth and Earth can fuel the ambition in Air and help them achieve their goals in life. However, they need to remember that all relationships work on the principle of give and take, it is important to be willing to contribute as much to a relationship as you derive from it.

Air and Fire

Fire gives Air the push required for them to go ahead and fulfill their dreams. Fire would also require Air to provide them with love and care for a peaceful coexistence. Together they can make one of the most dynamic pairs of the zodiac and can help fulfill each other’s desires.

Air and Water

Air and Water make for an interesting combination. They bring balance in each other’s life and give direction to each other’s dream. Water can teach Air to express their emotions freely and help them come in contact with their emotional sides.

Air and Air

When Air and Air come together there is mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s talents. Their combination almost nears perfection and since they stand to gain a lot from each other, their relationship in all likelihood will be for the long haul. The only thing that they need to remember is to keep the freshness alive by giving each other space in the relationship.
