Oops! Nasser Hussain did it again

The England-India cricket series has become a dull and one-sided affair with Dhoni’s boys going kaput at the hands of the England team. Team India, which landed in England as the World No.1 Test team, was completely outplayed by the superb performances and team spirit of Andrew Strauss’s boys, who snatched away from them the No.1 title. But we should be grateful to one man who’s been providing some time-to-time entertainment and still keeping us glued to our idiot box. So, let’s say ‘Thank You’ to Nasser Hussain.

Hussain has once again embroiled himself in a controversy for blatantly exercising his ‘right to opinion’. His spat with Ravi Shastri during the Test series over the Decision Review System (DRS) is yet to sink in that Indian cricket fans are hurt again by his insensitive commentary which compared some Indian fielders to 'donkeys'.

“I would say the difference between the two sides is the fielding. England are all-round a good fielding side. I do believe that India have a few…3 or 4 very good fielders and one or two donkeys in the field still,” said Hussain, as a commentator during the one-off T20 match between England and India on August 31 in Manchester. He made this awful comment after Parthiv Patel misjudged a Kevin Pietersen's catch off Munaf Patel's bowling in the fourth over of England innings.

Born on 28 March 1968, Nasser Hussain belongs to the sun sign Aries with Mars as its ruling planet. The planet Mars is associated with confidence, energy, aggression, strength, ambition, ego and impulsiveness. Hussain is egoistic, aggressive yet very confident with whatever he does and speaks.

Being an Aries, he is not one to be cowed down by failures. He loves to take on new challenges and even lead the way, offering new ideas and finding easy solutions to problems that might seem baffling to others. He cannot work with someone breathing down his neck. Given the freedom, he will enjoy the challenge and do his best. Although he is a pleasant company, he may not be the most popular person around, but that is something he doesn't take to heart. It is more important to be honest and to be able to speak his mind. He cannot be accused of being short tempered, but once annoyed, it is not easy for him to hide his displeasure and a quick outburst is all he needs to calm his nerves.

With things turning nasty, it is difficult to shut his mouth at this period and he will continue to be in the news for all the wrong reasons.
